Arriving as part of the brand’s ongoing Skate Classics collection and designed in collaboration with recently appointed team rider Andrew Reynolds, the two tone Vans Skate SK8-Hi receives a timely update to feature a subtle workwear undertone paired with a number of tech wear advancements. Mixed material resilient canvas and softened suede combine to construct the abrasion resistant uppers, whilst the silhouette’s revised DURACAP reinforced underlays, new two part foxing and all-new molded heel counter combine to provide elevated everyday comfort well suited to any explorative skate style. A PopCush™ sockliner and Vans’ performative SickStick™ rubber compound combine well with the classic rubber Waffle outsole to provide exemplary grip regardless of terrain, whilst the auxetic toe bumper overlays remain true to the profile’s time honoured design. Crisp white stitchings wrap around the forefoot and padded mid quarter to provide additional structural support as and where needed, with the recessed 7 eyelet lacing system keeping the ‘Vans Reynolds’ checkerboard elastic-strap tongue secured in place across the natural arch of the foot. Vans’ all new flag label complements the two tone side wall stripes for added texture and depth, with the red and white ‘Off The Wall Skateboarding’ heel scabs a final ode to the Skate Classics collection.
