Vans Sk8-Hi Reissue NYC "S" Shoes
The limited Vans Syndicate project celebrates it's 10th anniversary with a series of celebratory re-releases.
This re-issue SK8-Hi NYC 'S' was designed in collaboration with legendary New York skateboarder Andy Kessler in 2005. Andy Kessler was an original founder of the skateboard crew Zoo York (before it ever became a brand). This in itself was an offshoot of the iconic graffiti writers crew Soul Artists of Zoo York, including such luminaries as Futura.
Constructed from premium black nubuck quarter panels, matched by black premium leather fore and heel. Decorated with premium nubuck Vans side stripe in mono white, sits perfectly above the white foxing of the sole. Contrast royal blue shoe laces look great, plus they do come with a spare white set if you fancy swapping them out. Originally decorated with all black 'VANS OFF THE WALL' woven tongue label, plus one off 'NYC - NEW YORK CITY SKATEBOARDING' custom cast rubber heel tab.
Technically they are upgraded by Outlast temperature management linings. This is a lightly memory foam padded construction set with waffle knit mesh overlay. Under the foot they feature Ultracush HD moulded footbed, giving supreme cushioning. Works so good in conjunction with Vans classic waffle grip in that gum rubber.
On top of all this, being a Syndicate limited release the shoe comes uniquely packaged: Vans Syndicate drawer construction box. Vans Syndicate brushed cotton drawstring shoe bag. Vans Syndicate premium spare laces. Vans Syndicate graphic sticker sheet.
