Offering a seasonally appropriate alternative to Stan Ray’s signature trousers, these Painter Shorts are constructed from relaxed 100% cotton embellished with a repeat decade purple hickory stripe. Utilitarian style pockets have been added around the design, including two slanted entrance compartments on the front, two large patch pockets on the reverse, a hammer loop detail and a smaller section on the back of the right leg. Seams are strengthened with triple top stitching and bar tacking has been added to high stress areas. The waistband has a brass button fastening alongside a selection of belt loops and a zippered fly sits below. A woven Stan Ray patch label can be seen on the back for distinctive branding.
Proudly designed and made in the USA, the latest collection from Stan Ray remains true to the brand’s origins with a range of workwear influenced silhouettes crafted from durable materials that are destined to get better with age. Following the addition of Miles Johnson - former senior creative director of product at Patagonia - the palette for the season has become considerately brighter with the addition of reworked hickory stripes and experiments with batik.
