Pop Trading Company Thomas Van Rijs T-Shirt in White. Designed in collaboration with emerging Amsterdam based artist Thomas van Rijs, this casual t-shirt from Pop Trading Company features playful artwork on the front and reverse and has been made from 100% cotton for everyday comfort. Herringbone necktape wraps around the neckline for comfort and fit retention whilst the body and short sleeves have straight cut hems for a clean finish. Positioned centrally on the chest, an illustration designed especially for the collaboration has been printed in black and includes a large ‘P’ letter with a leaning painter character and paint tins below. Continuing onto the reverse, a different style graphic includes the brand’s signature logo design with a digitalised blue ring in the centre.

Born in 1986 and raised in Amsterdam, Thomas van Rijs is known for creating paintings that interpret his memories and elements from his own created universe that vary between homes in the wilderness and interactions with new people and places. Combining mediums such as illustration and digital artwork, Rijs’ work has an intriguing look that varies between modern and traditional with sharp shapes combined with texture. As his first collaboration with Pop Trading Company, custom reworks of the brand’s logo and additional imagery can be seen throughout the SS21 collection.
