Polar Shin Sanbongi Freedom Wheel Well Surfshape Deck

Designed in celebration of Japanese team rider Shin Sanbongi and his surf and skate upbringing, this Surfshape Freedom Deck from Polar Skate Co. is made from high quality 7 ply Canadian maple and features top and underside graphics created by Isaiah Kennedy. Illustrated with a classic look, on the topside a drawing of a figure reclining in a hammock set between two palm trees can be seen above 'Polar Skate Co. artwork by Isaiah Kennedy' lettering whilst on the reverse in a similar style a detailed illustration of a surfer riding a tube with Japanese lettering to one side has been set within a square border. Signifying the models design, 'Surf Model' and 'Designed by' with a signature can be seen below.

Inspired by his father, a keen surfer and skateboarder, Shin Sabongi was raised in Chigasaki in Japan, south of Tokyo, a region known as the birthplace of surfing for the country. Borrowing the fluid style of surfers and moves created within the water, Sanbongi captured the attention of Polar founder Pontus Alv and was officially made pro in April of this year which has been signified through this signature deck design.
