As part of a two-part collaborative release between Nike SB and pro rider Oskar Rosenberg for the ongoing Orange Label project, these Nike SB Orange Label Blazer Mid 'Oski' Shoes have a distinctive old school look with muted bronze coloured cotton corduroy uppers and burnt sienna accents. Opting for a low key colourway which hints at classic ‘70s styling, the texture of this design takes centre stage with suede Swoosh tick overlays on either side of the foot and a wide insert around the back of the heel where stylised ‘OSKi’ lettering has been embroidered in burnt sienna coloured thread, highlighting Oskar Rosenbeg’s nickname. The hi-top silhouette and full colour matched lace up fastening with matching metal eyelets helps to support the foot whilst on the move and expresses the models basketball origins. The tongue is padded with a colour matched leather underside which matches the inner edge of the ankle and a woven label has been added around the top edge showing Nike SB branding in white with ‘OSKI’ added underneath. The sail coloured gum rubber outsole has a textural surface pattern and an additional section around the front of the toes for durability whilst underfoot a herringbone tread pattern is a similar shade to the uppers and ensures a high level of traction.
Born out of Malmö’s Byrggeriet High School, also known as the ‘skateboarding school’, Oskar Rozenberg nicknamed ‘OSKi’ is known for his memorable clips, light-footed spontaneity and notable parts within videos such as Polar’s ‘We Blew It At Some Point’ and the more recent ‘Polar Rico’. Sold through a selection of skate stores as part of the #supportyourlocalskateshop project, this Blazer Mid model has arrived alongside the distinctive Nike SB Orange Label Dunk High Pro 'Oski' which has black nubuck uppers, embroidered sharks in the place of Swoosh ticks and blood red accents that tap into Rozenberg’s playful and creative personality.
