Seen here in a monochrome colourway with black rubber backed suede uppers and a crisp white CONS traction rubber outsole, these Converse JP Pro Mid Shoes have a classic look inspired by traditional badminton styles in celebration of the legacy of Canadian champion Jack Purcell. A signature feature of any Jack Purcell model, the rubber-infused ‘smile’ toe cap provides a high level of durability with a black cut out curve and sits below the black lace up fastening which threads through silver metal eyelets to help keep the fit secure during all day skate sessions - two more eyelets sit on the inner side of the foot to encourage ventilation. The uppers are edged with a black leather trim and contrasting white top stitching flows across the laces border and around the back of the heel. Within the shoe a molded PU sockliner has been added for cushioning and underfoot the white CONS traction rubber outsole stands up to repetitive abrasion with an embossed Converse CONS heel cap and herringbone tread pattern which delivers reliable traction.
Designed especially as a signature model for Canadian World Champion Jack Purcell in 1923, the self named footwear style was adopted by Converse during the 1970s and has since been updated and refreshed throughout time to cater to the needs of the Converse pro skate team for the skate-focused CONS line. Maintaining its timeless and clean look, premium fabrics are used for each model and the signature ‘smile’ toe detail remains.
