Seen here in a dark obsidian colourway, these Converse CTAS 70's Hi Shoes follow a classic aesthetic with thick canvas uppers but the model have been reworked to include an elasticated pullcord lace fastening and rubber details in varying opacities. The long tongue has a textural woven topside and sits comfortably around the top of the foot above a transparent rubber toe cap. The slim colour matched laces flow in between silver eyelets and can be secured by a single black toggle. Contrasting white top stitching flows across the uppers whilst a circular translucent Converse All Star patch sits on the inner side of either ankle. At the back of the heel two double lines of stitching borders a fabric strip which adds structure to the design and a rubber heel cap below bears Converse All Star branding. The thick egret coloured rubber midsole has a central line of black foxing tape which is concealed by an additional panel of rubber around the front of the foot. A black tread pattern completes the design.
A staple style from legendary footwear brand Converse, this new season update stays true to original designs and has been designed for everyday wear with a Nike Zoom Air heel unit and an OrthoLite sockliner. Founded in 1908 as the Converse Rubber Shoe Company, the iconic All Star design was introduced in 1917 and was later followed by Chuck Taylor branding in 1932. Converse has remained relevant throughout time thanks to their dedication to quality and creative design personality.
