Hitting you with a tennis throwback, the Converse Checkpoint Pro Ox was once a competition-ready court model. Returning from the archives stylised in a deep emerald colourway with accents of white, CONS have crafted the upper from rubber backed suede, leaving a clean toe box for flicking your tricks. Complete with a Lunarlon sockliner for heightened impact protection, traction rubber has been used on the outsole for that tried and tested Converse grip. The classic star logo has been added to the upper, this time in stitched leather, while CONS branding can be found on the heel and tongue.
Operating under their skateboarding sub label, which launched in 2006, Converse has retooled classic footwear silhouettes for skateboarding functionality. This includes the One Star, All Star and Jack Purcell, as well as introducing completely original designs such as the Louie Lopez Pro.
