Designed as part of a Carhartt x Motown commemorative capsule collection that celebrates the 60th anniversary of the iconic record label, these black Master Pants are made from a hard wearing blend of polyester and cotton and feature contrasting white side stripes. Cut to the same fit as the brands classic Denison pant, the waist is regular whilst a relaxed straight fit runs through the legs with a contrasting white side panel along either outer edge which adds impact. Wide belt loops wrap around the waistband and a zippered fly has been added to the centre front. On either side large welt pockets have been added for storage of essential items and on the reverse two additional welt pockets are also available, one of which has a single button fastening. To the right side a square woven label shows the famous Motown ‘M’ emblem above ‘Carhartt’ lettering against a black background which signifies the collection. The legs have straight cut hems for a clean look.
Paying homage to the impact Motown has had on music since being established in 1959 and for establishing musicians such as Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder, Carhartt have designed a thirteen-piece capsule collection of apparel and accessories decorated with custom artwork that highlights the label’s rich history. Put together especially for the release, be sure to check out the mix by Moodyman which features rare b-side tracks, interviews and live performances from related artists.
