This tobacco rinsed Modular Jacket from Carhartt is made from 65% polyester and 35% cotton ‘Denison’ twill, weighing at 8.8oz which is ideal for warmer spring weather. Designed to a classic collared jacket silhouette, the body and sleeves are unlined which reduces bulk and weight. Two welt pockets have been added either side of the front metal zip and the cuffs and waistband have size adjuster buttons which allows for a more customised fit. Inserted side panels improve the overall cut and allow for movement.
Taking note from aviation uniform, Carhartt have used a Denison twill blend which takes its name from the Denison Smock, a jacket designed in 1941 for British troops. Famously windproof, the heavy cotton material was designed as an additional layer to be worn over the top of wool. Brought into modern day through an eye for simplicity through cut and detailing, Carhartt WIP have introduced a new selection of colourways for SS19.
