This Ghetto T-Shirt from Butter Goods is made from black 100% cotton and has a large central screen print added to the chest using a variety of colours. Showing an image of Ahmad Jamal - a legendary American jazz pianist - this t-shirt combines bright orange, yellow and fuchsia with a black tonal silhouette and light blue and teal green highlights. Below this image, white script text reading ‘the world is a ghetto’ entitles the 1973 track released by Jamal. A ribbed neckline and short sleeves complete the style.
Continually inspired by music of the past and present, Butter Goods latest 2018 range takes influence from pioneers of jazz music. Featured here, Ahmad Jamal is well known for his involvement in the jazz music scene in the 1950s, his album ‘The World Is A Ghetto’ was recorded in P.S Studios in Chicago, Illinois with the cover image photographed by Norman Seeff.
