Nike SB Dunk High “Humidity”

Nike SB continue their skate shop partnership series, with an exclusive Dunk High collaboration with the long standing Humidity store of New Orleans. A twenty two year veteran of the scene, Humidity are the longest-standing store in the city and this hyper celebratory edition recognises not only 22 years of business, but also the tricentennial (that's a 300th anniversary fyi) of New Orleans itself.

There have been some bold editions in the Nike SB Dunk silhouette over the years, but this full metallic gold upper has some serious pop to it. The gold is a reference to rich and iconic brass tradition of The Big Easy’s Second Line, the glimmering marching horns and the glittering scenes of Mardi Gras. The Humidity is all about best dress, with matching gold laces, a detachable bow tie (that has to make sense to somebody besides matching the red swoosh on the tongue) and plush velvet lining against the sharp black soles. Really nice detailing with translucent outsoles, showcasing printed musical notes and the printed inners with illustrated horns. The custom box is really good too, full printing to look like a beaten up old instrument case.

Limited edition and highly unlikely to hang around, the Humidity Dunk is released Friday 21st September at 8am.
