Anyone can make a pair of blue jeans, but Levi Strauss & Co. made the first blue jean, all the way back in 1873. They draw upon their heritage to continually reinvent the blue jean for generation after generation. It wasn't until 1936 the introduced the iconic Red Levi's® tab, but for the last 79 odd years it's been ever present. Levi's actually own the patent on the shape and colour of the tab, so roughly one in ten will carry a plain red tab with just the ® logo in white. The brand are always adapting to demand and two of their most recent lines fit us perfectly; Levi's® Commuter and of course, Levi's® Skateboarding. For over 30 years skateboarders have worn Levi's® denim jeans. This new collection of classic styles – built specifically for Skateboarding – focuses on superior construction, durability and comfort and the skateboard line have all been developed to withstand the rigours of skating. All of the jeans have rivet constructions with extra stitches throughout the seams and crotch, bar tacks for reinforcement and double layered back pockets. Using classic Levi's® cuts, they are enhanced by modern materials like Cordura® and T400® for phenomenal resistance to abrasion and enhanced stretch and elasticity. Special additional features like stash pockets and accenting colourways of the Levi's® tab, back patch, rivets, buttons and threads set them apart from the main lines.
